She received training in ballet, pointe, tap and jazz. She was an officer for her High School Dance Company and choreographed the high school musical Annie Get Your Gun her senior year. A highlight of her dancing experience was training and performing with the professional company Ballet West in their production of The Nutcracker multiple times.

After graduation she taught dance at Salt Lake Dance Center for 6 years. She taught Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Pointe and loved helping her students discover their passion for dance. Beginning at the age of 5, Alyssa danced with Georga's School of Dance (now Miss Annie's Straight Up Dance) for 13 years. During this time, she trained with a multitude of teachers in tap, jazz, and ballet

Outside of the studio, Alyssa received ballet instruction both on and off pointe and attended a variety of workshops in San Antonio, Texas. She always had a passion for dance and expanding her knowledge and was always in search of new classes and opportunities to advance her skills and keep her on her toes. In the past two years, Alyssa has taken classes in hip hop, contemporary jazz and a variety of partner dances, including swing with Naomi Skee. Alyssa's goal as a teacher is to inspire in her students a love for dance just as she was inspired.
